Why I am switching to Coca-Cola. Forever.

Was this ad campaign developed by Pokemon-saturated high fructose corn syrup-addled tragically hip first graders? Because I do not get it.

Happily, this means I am not the desired demographic.

But, . . . who is? Thirsty robots on a diet?

Now I know what the billboard is about. What a ridiculous graphic. I'm nowhere near kid age, but I cannot imagine that it appeals to any group whatsoever.

I would never drink it because true Southerners don't drink Pepsi.

I agree that's a stupid ad.

I disagree that Coke is objectively better. Ultimately, it's a matter of opinion and I won't get dragged into an argument about it because I don't care that much, but I just like the taste of Pepsi better in general (but if someone offers me a Coke, I couldn't care less).

Of course, what I really like is RC Cola, but that hardly ever gets mentioned in the debate.

I prefer the taste of Coke to the taste of Pepsi, and the taste of RC to both. But I prefer Pepsi products (Mountain Dew, etc.) to their Coke equivalents.

I also like the Pepsi Center (a sports arena in Denver.)

And this ad makes no sense whatsoever.

I think we all agree the ad is retarded. And just to clarify, Pepsi bites anyway.

Mark, try watching the "Webisodes" that accompany some of the, . . . er, . . . "characters." It makes even less sense than the graphic alone.

Matt, you southerners call everything "coke" anyway, don't you?

Posted by: Drew at April 18, 2005 08:42 PM

Drew, yes, but Pepsi is particularly nasty. No Southerner should drink it. It's like drinking unsweetened tea.

Love is two people sipping Coca Cola from the same straw on a warm sunny day.
