The Problem of the Hannity Right
An e-mailer to Andrew Sullivan makes a very interesting point, well worth considering.
Let it always be known that I am a Kirk-Buckley-Reagan conservative, and never a Hannity conservative.

Not a lot of time to write on this now, but I disagree entirely with the dismantling of Sean Hannity. He is not a conservative intellectual, but for the conservative movement to advance it requires both the intellectual and the popularizer. There's no need to trash one to recognize the virtue of the other.
I believe Hannity is very much a radio version of the sunny Reagan wing of the movement.
I agree that the richness of his show depends on the interesting guests. I think he'd agree, too.
(Admittedly, Sean is a personal friend of the family, so I am not entirely unbiased. But I do believe the movement would be caught in the ivory tower without those who arouse the masses).

I agree with the emailer regarding the Hannity Right; I too am a Kirk-Buckley-Reagan conservative & I am glad someone made that comment.
