{"id":1256,"date":"2009-01-07T23:52:09","date_gmt":"2009-01-08T03:52:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stonescryout.org\/?p=1256"},"modified":"2009-01-07T23:52:09","modified_gmt":"2009-01-08T03:52:09","slug":"consider-hatred","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stonescryout.org\/?p=1256","title":{"rendered":"Consider Hatred"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have to admit, I don&#8217;t grok the whole &#8220;hate-of-group&#8221; thing that so many people <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guntheranderson.com\/v\/data\/national.htm\" target=\"_blank\">to seem get infected with<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>But during National Brotherhood Week<br \/>\nNational Brotherhood Week<br \/>\nNew Yorkers love the Puerto Ricans<br \/>\n&#8216;Cause it&#8217;s very chic<br \/>\nStep up and shake the hand<br \/>\nOf someone you can&#8217;t stand<br \/>\nYou can tolerate him if you try<\/p>\n<p>Oh, the Protestants hate the Catholics<br \/>\nAnd the Catholics hate the Protestants<br \/>\nAnd the Hindus hate the Moslems<br \/>\nAnd everybody hates the Jews<\/p>\n<p>But during National Brotherhood Week<br \/>\nNational Brotherhood Week<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s National Everyone-Smile-At-<br \/>\nOne-Another-hood Week<br \/>\nBe nice to people who<br \/>\nAre inferior to you<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s only for a week, so have no fear<br \/>\nBe grateful that it doesn&#8217;t last all year!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Does anybody out there understand it? I don&#8217;t think the I have any conscious awareness of hatred for any particular group, except perhaps a particular peccadillo I observe (in others) which bugs me. That is I get unreasonably irked when I see able bodied people using handicapped spots. But that&#8217;s not the same as the prejudices and hatreds which seem to abound.<\/p>\n<p>If you hate someone, why do you do it? If you hate or despise a particular group of people, why?
