{"id":1865,"date":"2009-06-02T20:11:13","date_gmt":"2009-06-03T00:11:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stonescryout.org\/?p=1865"},"modified":"2009-06-02T20:11:13","modified_gmt":"2009-06-03T00:11:13","slug":"a-question-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stonescryout.org\/?p=1865","title":{"rendered":"A Question"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-body\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"item-body\">\n<div>\n<p>I haven\u2019t heard the economic situation posed this way before, and I\u2019m no expert so I\u2019m wondering how this sounds.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The trigger for the current economic economic crises is located as a credit crises and that problem remains.<\/li>\n<li>One cure for the problem that has been applied has been a a lot of borrowing (which may further strain credit) and a large increase in the money supply.<\/li>\n<li>A likely occurrence in the future is a sharp inflationary period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Take those statements as given. I think those matters are not controversial. The question then is what should, an individual do?<\/p>\n<p>In inflationary times, one logical response is to attempt to incur debt (ahead of the game if possible). How will that impact the (weak) credit market however? Like <a href=\"http:\/\/meganmcardle.theatlantic.com\/archives\/2009\/06\/good_newsbad_news_on_housing.php\" target=\"_blank\">this<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>And if one were to incur debt ahead of inflation \u2026 in what should one put the money,  land, precious metals, or the stock market?<\/p>\n<p>I think an argument might be made that stocks, inasmuch as the real value of companies do not change with the inflation may remain valuable.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I haven\u2019t heard the economic situation posed this way before, and I\u2019m no expert so I\u2019m wondering how this sounds.
