Times opinion piece,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8230;plastic bags are more costly to all of us than they appear and won&#8217;t be missed once they are gone. Stores do offer an alternative \u2014 asking modern life&#8217;s essential question, &#8220;Paper or plastic?&#8221; \u2014 but there are even better options.
