Seriously. Hint &#8230; to the non-religious liberal who thinks evil doesn&#8217;t exist and all crime is just illness &#8230; read Midgely&#8217;s book <em>Wickedness<\/em>. Mary Midgely is a renknowned British moral philospher. It&#8217;s not a hard read.<\/li>\n<li>Or\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/timpanogos.wordpress.com\/2012\/12\/18\/pat-bagley-tells-the-truth-pulitzer-committee-are-you-paying-attention\/\" target=\"_blank\">not at all<\/a>. Let&#8217;s see what was Congress&#8217; first suggestion ban\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.volokh.com\/2012\/12\/18\/why-bans-on-so-called-assault-weapons-are-unlikely-to-diminish-the-deaths-caused-by-mass-shootings\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;assault&#8221; rifles<\/a> &#8230; you know they are used in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/agenda\/335976\/brief-note-gun-control-reihan-salam\" target=\"_blank\">less than 2% of crimes<\/a> like the one in the news and not in the current case.<\/li>\n<li>And the idiot who shouted &#8220;ban all Glock&#8217;s&#8221;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/leiterreports.typepad.com\/blog\/2012\/12\/glenn-reynolds-wants-to-have-a-conversation-about-guns.html\" target=\"_blank\">calls others ignorant<\/a>. Let&#8217;s see, Glock makes semi-automatic pistols which are inexpensive, accurate, and reliable. The are one of a dozen manufacturers who make similar products. But let&#8217;s ban just the one.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/blogs\/print\/335848\" target=\"_blank\">Why<\/a>? Dunno. Let&#8217;s ban &#8220;high capacity&#8221; magazines, &#8217;cause it takes a second and a half to change magazines. That&#8217;s clearly the limiting step.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/borepatch.blogspot.com\/2012\/12\/this-just-in.html\" target=\"_blank\">Slurp<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>So\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/voxday.blogspot.com\/2012\/12\/blame-deinstitutionalization-not-guns.html\" target=\"_blank\">what triggered the shooter<\/a>? Perhaps, the threat of involuntary incarceration in a mental health institution. Which in turns suggests he needed it.<\/li>\n<li>Race\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/pjmedia.com\/richardfernandez\/2012\/12\/18\/white-lightning\/\" target=\"_blank\">and shootings<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/twentytwowords.com\/2012\/12\/18\/tony-hawk-skates-with-his-daughter-takes-a-jab-at-critics-of-his-parenting\/\" target=\"_blank\">Wheee<\/a>!<\/li>\n<li>Not forgetting\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.economist.com\/blogs\/freeexchange\/2012\/12\/learning-abroad?fsrc=rss\" target=\"_blank\">the economic crises<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Oh.
