{"id":5694,"date":"2013-02-14T09:43:48","date_gmt":"2013-02-14T14:43:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stonescryout.org\/?p=5694"},"modified":"2013-02-14T09:43:48","modified_gmt":"2013-02-14T14:43:48","slug":"things-heard-e248v4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stonescryout.org\/?p=5694","title":{"rendered":"Things Heard: e248v4"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Good morning.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span>The President&#8217;s 2nd Amendment\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/pjmedia.com\/blog\/state-of-the-second-amendment\/\" target=\"_blank\">remarks noted<\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Education\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gormogons.com\/2013\/02\/is-america-getting-dumber.html\" target=\"_blank\">and results<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Rotten\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ordinary-gentlemen.com\/blog\/2013\/02\/damning-testimony-at-the-bounty-hearing\/\" target=\"_blank\">to the core<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>So, what\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.orthocuban.com\/2013\/02\/liturgy-is-not-simply-the-work-of-the-people\/\" target=\"_blank\">is liturgy<\/a>?<\/li>\n<li>And speaking of churchly things, how about\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/insightscoop.typepad.com\/2004\/2013\/02\/lent-why-the-christian-must-deny-himself.html\" target=\"_blank\">why Lent<\/a>?<\/li>\n<li>Zeitgeist =\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mereorthodoxy.com\/jackson-and-tolkien-hollywoods-infatuation-with-angst\/\" target=\"_blank\">angst<\/a>?<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.creativeminorityreport.com\/2013\/02\/joe-camel-evil-condom-pops-fun.html\" target=\"_blank\">Whatever your notion of abortion and birth control<\/a>, uhm, any sane view of goverment as limited puts this as a thing government should not pay for or do.<\/li>\n<li>Speaking of ethical\u00a0dilemmas &#8230;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thepaytons.org\/essays\/considerettes\/?p=3354\" target=\"_blank\">here&#8217;s one for ya<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/talkingpointsmemo.com\/archives\/2013\/02\/academy_of_st_awesome_in_the_fields.php\" target=\"_blank\">Let&#8217;s see we have a President<\/a> who in school specifically notes that he sought out Communist and Socialist teachers &#8230; seems to me the speaker is wrong, Mr Obama called himself that first.<\/li>\n<li>Some more discussion of raising\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/prospect.org\/article\/how-would-minimum-wage-increase-affect-economy\" target=\"_blank\">the minimum productivity floor<\/a>. When I asked for explanation how the President feels this is a &#8220;middle class&#8221; offering &#8230; I got nada.
