{"id":900,"date":"2008-10-17T12:57:00","date_gmt":"2008-10-17T16:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stonescryout.org\/?p=900"},"modified":"2008-10-17T13:54:59","modified_gmt":"2008-10-17T17:54:59","slug":"plumbing-the-depths-of-personal-destruction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stonescryout.org\/?p=900","title":{"rendered":"Plumbing the Depths of Personal Destruction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Joe &quot;the plumber&quot; Wurzelbacher, for having an honest disagreement with Barack Obama over tax issues, has come under fire from the Left.&#160; Well, &quot;under fire&quot; seems like a rather mild description.&#160; The blog HolyCoast referred to it as a <a href=\"http:\/\/holycoast.blogspot.com\/2008\/10\/crucifixion-of-joe-plumber.html\" target=\"_blank\">&quot;crucifixion&quot;<\/a>, not in the sense that he&#8217;s dying in the press for anyone&#8217;s sins, but he is getting himself turned inside-out for the sake of a very calm conversation he had with the Democratic Presidential nominee.&#160; Both men, Joe and Barack, let each other speak, there was no heated arguing at all, and yet the Left can&#8217;t seem to bear to have The One(tm) contradicted.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than point to all the individual examples, others have done the research that I&#8217;ll point to instead.&#160; They&#8217;re good roundups of the incredible personal destruction that lefty blog sites and mainstream media &#8212; from the obscure to the prominent &#8212; have visited upon someone who simply disagrees with them.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stoptheaclu.com\/archives\/2008\/10\/16\/ny-times-source-on-joe-the-plumbers-license-doesnt-have-a-license\/\" target=\"_blank\">Stop the ACLU<\/a> notes that the preeminent blog of the Left, Daily Kos, plastered Joe&#8217;s personal details for all to see, including home address.&#160; And there are others like Politico.com and the New York Times scrounging around for dirt.&#160; <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/theanchoressonline.com\/2008\/10\/16\/going-after-joe-the-plumber-america\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Anchoress<\/a> details reaction from the Right side of the blogosphere.&#160; She also makes a great point.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>But here\u2019s the thing: what or who Joe the Plumber is does not matter. What matters is what Barack Obama <em>said<\/em> to him.
