- Tea Party and maps … how will the MSM cover this? Compare to, say, Ms Sheehan and consider if bias perhaps a relevant question?
- Sober thoughts on piracy.
- Some Easter reflections.
- Charismatic vs Cessastionism … some thoughts.
- On Mr Obama’s “yet another plan”, this time to rid the world of nuclear weaponry, and no mention (in the plan) of providing everyone with ponies either.
- A book and a movie. And … for my two cents, always always read Ms Penman’s writing.
- A chatty Fed?
- A bad analogy from our President.
- To a good man.
- Technology and a great ride.
- Hmmmm (Ouch).
- Contra Twitter.
- Beauty and action.
- From one unimpressed by the Byzantine rites.
- A link roundup for an excellent and very detailed series/summary of Zizioulas fascinating Being as Communion.
- When you read that Arctic ice diminished somewhat this winter … that should be put in context with the Antarctic advance.

On the Tea Party front, I’ve looked at the official website and have to say that I’ve come away unclear what it is they’re opposing and what tactics they hope to use today.
I get that the general thing is that they think the gov’t is spending too much (NOW, they’re concerned about it after trillions of dollars in massive defense spending over the last few years), but are the protesting some specific action? Are they just hoping that politicians will see that there are a lot of people who think gov’t is too big? What’s the point?
I’d suggest their website would be smarter if it made that clearer.
Also, what are their tactics they’re using today? Are they actually dumping tea into public waters? Are they bringing their own tea?
From an organizing/Direct Action point of view (something with which I’m very familiar), I’d suggest this is rather a scattered and unclear protest.
