I have to agree with you here on this one. I don’t get the defending of Polanski.
The one possible difference is that the victim seems to have come out in Polanski’s defense. Still, it strikes me as a bit odd (and if I were Polanski, I believe I would have told Woody Allen, “No, really, I don’t need your support…”)
Heh, indeed. Not the guy you want in your corner in a statutory rape trial.
