Word is the House is not going for the “Deem and Pass” option in spite of saying they would. My guess is that it didn’t pass the PR test.
At least we’ll get an honest vote out of this. Too bad the Democrats didn’t choose the honorable way first.

Honest vote by bribery?

Indeed this whole thing just gets curioser and curioser. Approval for congress as a body was low before this, now it’s at subterranean levels.
Noel, fair enough, but at least they’re on record for the bill rather than just some rule change.
Tom, not just curiouser but more and more damaging to our republic. As Noel properly states, bribery damages our system of government, and the public was clearly not behind this.
The way I see it, ‘Deem and Pass’ is like a letter of credit or a banker’s guarantee. The House does not want to pass the unamended bill and run the risk of the Senate not passing the amendments.
