Taking Care of Your Own House
This is what Republicans do, unlike Democrats who, allegedly, came in to Washington promising to go after the "culture of corruption".
Rep. Chris Lee of New York abruptly resigned Wednesday evening, hours after a gossip Web site reported that the married Republican had allegedly sent flirtatious e-mail messages and a shirtless photo of himself to a woman he met online.
A flirtatious e-mail is all that it took. Meanwhile, Charlie Rangel is still firmly ensconced in his seat. Yes, both sides have their corruption issues, but one clearly knows the meaning of "accountability".

Your post is funny. Republicans sure have had a lot of resignations in the last several years. According to your logic, that means the GOP is REALLY responsible, right?
By the way, what ever happened to Senator John Ensign of Nevada, who had both an extramarital affair AND solicited sex from a man in a bathroom? Oh, that’s right. He’s still in office years after each incident.
And whatever happened to investigating false claims about Iraqi WMD by the Bush administration? Surely going to war based on false pretenses, perhaps the most egregious mistake by politicians in our lifetime, would merit an investigation by responsible people. Do you think that now that the party of responsibility has control of the House we will see such an investigation?
More examples here. I’m on record as noting that this happens on both sides of the aisle, but on balance, the Republicans police their own far better.
