Postcard From the Inside
Mr. Instapundit noted yesterday:
A READER AT A MAJOR NEWSROOM EMAILS: “Off the record, every suspicion you have about MSM being in the tank for O is true. We have a team of 4 people going thru dumpsters in Alaska and 4 in arizona. Not a single one looking into Acorn, Ayers or Freddiemae. Editor refuses to publish anything that would jeopardize election for O, and betting you dollars to donuts same is true at NYT, others. People cheer when CNN or NBC run another Palin-mocking but raising any reasonable inquiry into obama is derided or flat out ignored. The fix is in, and its working.” I asked permission to reprint without attribution and it was granted.
UPDATE: The Anchoress hears similar things.
Water must be warm in the tank.

Hard hitting “evidence,” that.
Just another datapoint to add to the heap. When the datapoint that journalists vote 80+% Democrat, the reply is that they can still be objective.
Or perhaps not so much.
And what if the media is 80% owned by conservative Republican corporations? Does that, be default, mean that the media is conservative?
The presence of more Democrats does not defacto mean that the media is more leftish, anymore than the ownership of media by conservative factions means that the media is conservative. BUT, if one were to have more influence, I’d suspect the ownership would tend to trump the rank and file reporters and editors.
(I don’t know what the exact percentage of conservatively-owned media is, but I’ve read it’s up there pretty high.)
Statistics are statistics and are only useful insofar as they’re considered in context.
This data point, that you so readily dismissed out of hand, suggests that it’s more likely that the folks actually reporting the news have more influence over the reporting of the news than the owners do.
Look, the liberal bent of news reporting is quite apparent to most of the population; even to many Democrats. (See here for 6 polls regarding this.) The fact that the vast majority of news reporters tends to suggest that this is why it is so. This new data point continues to reinforce it. Conservative ownership doesn’t seem to have any effect on that bias.
More proof. First off:
VP debate moderator in the tank for Obama
Not to mention, that Obama Youth video making its way around was produced by an organization headed by Jeffery Zucker. Who is he? A head CEO at NBC.
