This coming Sunday, every Bible believing pastor, priest, and rabbi in the U.S. should preach on what the Bible has to say about homosexuality, and then send a copy of their sermon (anonymously) to the city of Houston. #AnniseParker #Houston #PastorsSermons #BathroomBill

One issue in Houston is whether pastors are using their pulpits as soapboxes, illegally endorsing candidates.
So you’re asking other pastors to similarly refuse to stand up with Christ in public?
If you think these pastors should be so ashamed of what they preach, why bother to send it to Houston? Why bother to preach it?
On the other hand, maybe you’re right: These pastors should be ashamed.
Actually, Ed, I’m asking pastors to stand up for Christ in public. Don’t know why you think I’m advocating they should be ashamed.
As for politics and the church, maybe we could visit First AME around election time, or have a history lesson in how the church has been involved in the real issues of life (including politics) in the past (e.g., slavery, Nazi Germany).
