Meet Herman Cain
Before last week’s Republican debate in South Carolina, a lot of people probably hadn’t heard of Herman Cain. But he made a big splash at the debate and as a result support for his candidacy is growing. Still, not a whole lot is known about him other than he was once the CEO of Godfather’s Pizza. Over at National Review, Robert Costa has an excellent profile of Cain that is worth reading. I’m not going to venture a guess about his future prospects but I will say that I’ve been intrigued about him since the debate and this article helped shed some light on who he is and why he could be the type of candidate that we need for President.

Has done a radio show for years here in Atlanta on the 50,000 watt blow torch WSB. Love his views.
Herman Cain says government should not be picking winners and losers, yet he supports a tax that would pick winners (homeowners) and losers (renters) by redistributing income from renters to homeowners.
Under Cain’s tax vision, whenever a renter and a homeowner have equal consumption, the renter always pays more tax than the homeowner.
Whenever a renter and a homeowner have equal spending, the renter pays more tax than the homeowner AND also enjoys less consumption than the homeowner.
Herman Cain is the only Republican candidate who could get me to vote for Obama.
Terry, I’m not sure I understand your logic on the tax issue. Since Cain is a supporter of the Fair Tax, all income taxes would be abolished thus eliminating the tax breaks afforded to homeowners. It would put everyone on a equal footing and eliminate the various social engineering techniques and special favors sprinkled throughout the current tax code.
